Silverton Area Community Aid (SACA)

Silverton Area Community Aid was founded in 1950 and today provides food, financial aid, and services to nearly 1,000 people in the Silverton area each month. Its food pantry had almost 10,000 visits and distributed more than 350,000 pounds of food in 2025.

Oregon Clean Power Co-op will be installing a microgrid for SACA, with 120 kW of solar panels and 250 kW of batteries. The project will provide SACA with an annual income stream for 20 years. and give it emergency backup power in case of a grid outage.
