The 2.2 MW Oregon Pear Community Solar Project* will be a pioneering agrisolar research project. It is located at the Oregon State University Southern Oregon Research and Extension Center, outside Jacksonville, Oregon, where OSU researchers will use it to study the effects of growing pears, wine grapes and other  crops in the same fields as solar panels.

The project is a collaboration between local nonprofit Solarize Rogue, Oregon State University and the Oregon Clean Power Co-op. If you’re interested in participating, you can sign up here.

* The proposed project has not been reviewed or pre-certified by the Oregon Community Solar Program Administration.
